Insteigoは、日本の英会話業界に革新をもたらすべく誕生した、意欲的なEdTechスタートアップです。“さようなら、従来型の英会話。”——Insteigoは、いわゆる「英会話スクール」とは一線を画します。確かに、外国人講師が英語を教えるという点では共通していますが、私たちが提供するのは「英語」だけではありません。
旧来の英会話は、いまだに時代遅れの枠組みにとらわれています。Insteigoはその限界を打ち破り、自由で制限のない、無限の学びを可能にするプラットフォームを構築しました。学び、つながり、成長できる空間——それがInsteigoです。

レッスン予約について（Lesson Bookings）
マンツーマンでじっくり英語を学びたい方は、「レッスン予約（Book Lesson）」ボタンから、講師との1対1レッスンを申し込むことができます。
このレッスンは、あなたと講師だけの特別な時間です。他の人は入りません。講師はあなたのためだけにレッスンを行います。
レッスンでは、講師が内容やカリキュラムを準備し、メモを取りながら、間違いの修正やアドバイス、フィードバックを丁寧に行ってくれます。
どんな内容にしたいかは、あなた次第。話したいテーマや学びたいことを自由にリクエストして、講師を“あなた専属のプロ家庭教師”として活用してください。
レッスン内容とカリキュラムについて
Insteigoでは、一部の講師が独自に作成したオリジナル教材をプラットフォーム上で販売しています。気になる教材があれば、講師の「ショップ」ページから購入することができます。
購入した教材は、講師とのレッスンで自由に使用可能です。あなたの学習スタイルに合った教材を選び、より充実したレッスンを体験してください。
オフ会 “Instevents” について
オンラインレッスンも素晴らしいですが、やはりリアルな体験にはかないません。
Instevents（インスティベント）は、学習者がお気に入りの講師と実際に会って交流できる特別なイベントです。リアルなつながりを築き、忘れられない思い出をつくるチャンスです。
イベント内容は自由自在。可能性は無限です。

Q：私は「生徒」である必要がありますか？それとも、楽しみ目的で使ってもいいですか？
A： Insteigoは、外国人との交流、海外の視点や文化体験、そして純粋なエンタメ目的でも楽しめるプラットフォームです。
日本で外国人と出会う手段は、従来の英会話スクールが中心で、費用や契約のハードルが高いこともあります。Insteigoでは、もっと自由に、もっと気軽に、さまざまな体験を楽しむことができます。フォーマルな「レッスン」だけが目的でなくても大丈夫。あなたに合った使い方を見つけてください。
Q：先生の「ショップ」とは何ですか？

What’s Insteigo?
We are an ambitious EdTech startup with a remarkable platform determined to disrupt and revolutionize Japanese eikaiwa.
Sayonara eikaiwa! Insteigo is not a traditional eikaiwa in the sense of the word. Yes, we have foreign teachers using English to teach students, but English is only the beginning. Eikaiwa are still in the dark ages, and we have created the ultimate modernization: A platform offering an unbound, unrestricted, unlimited learning experience and space to network, communicate and grow. We are the bridge that Japan badly needs at this unique and challenging time. At Insteigo, learners not only learn a language, but find personal growth and fulfilment, make real Japanese and foreign friends, build a professional network, and expand their connection globally, not to mention have a total blast while doing it. The eikaiwa revolution is now. We are interested in the totality of what teachers have to offer. The platform allows teachers to broadcast any content imaginable, live and in real time. As a result, they are not so much teaching as they are sharing: Sharing knowledge, content, a unique perspective, experience, culture, personality, passions and interests, talents and more. The sky’s the limit. Users can watch, listen and respond via text-based chat box. They will have unfiltered access and insight into the real lives of the teachers, not only as educators but as creative, diverse and unique human beings with so much more to offer than static “lessons”.
Tipping System
Welcome to live, instant English and foreign experiences, on demand, anywhere, any time, on any device. Streaming teachers are dedicating time, passion and energy for your benefit, so be sure to tip! You can tip at any time, for any reason. For example, to show appreciation, support, or thanks for content you find valuable. ***Minimum recommended tip: 5 tokens/500Y***

Request Examples

Lesson Bookings
When learners want an exclusive, 1 on 1 lesson with an instructor, they can book a lesson via the “Book Lesson” button. This is an official lesson between you and your chosen instructor. There is no third party. The instructor is all yours. They will provide lesson content/curriculum, take lesson notes, provide corrections, feedback, and guidance on a per lesson basis. It’s up to you to make requests and use the teacher as your personal, professional tutor.
Lesson Content & Curriculum
No curriculum? No problem! Some teachers are selling their very own custom-made textbooks right on the platform. Head over to the teacher’s “Shop” and purchase one you like. You may then use it in the lesson with your chosen instructor.
Offkai “instevents”
Online lessons are great, but nothing beats the real world, right? Instevents provide learners a chance to meet and hang out with their favorite instructors IRL (in real life) and make lasting connections. In terms of content, again, the sky’s the limit. Coming Events:

Note: These events are exceptional. Communicating in English is encouraged, but not forced. Participants can just relax and enjoy it, get support and guidance, make Japanese and non Japanese friends or professional network connections, and even matchmake.

Q: How do I know when my teacher is broadcasting?
A: Never miss a broadcast! Click on the favorite/like heart icon to receive a email notification when your favorite teacher is broadcasting.
Q: What’s my role as a student? Do I have to be a student or can I just use the platform for fun?
A: This is a platform for anyone wanting access to foreigners, a foreign experience, foreign perspective or just for entertainment. If you want to meet a foreigner in Japan the only outlet is often through an eikaiwa, with large upfront costs and commitments. Not at Insteigo. We understand many of you aren’t always looking for a formal “lesson” per se. The variety of experiences on our platform is yours to discover.
Q: What exactly is the teacher’s “Shop”?
A: We are interested in the totality of what the instructor has to offer, not only as teacher, but as a content generator, creator and human being. The shop is a personalized hub where students and fans can purchase any merchandise the teacher is selling. It may be educational, entertaining or a passion project the teacher would like to sell (ie: novels, short stories, children’s books, music album, business seminar, anime inspired t-shirts, textbooks, mugs etc.)
Q: What are the site rules and terms of use?
A: Please respect Insteigo as a professional community space where people go to share, connect and learn. Any obscene or racist statements, sexual misconduct, including nudity, requests for nudity or sexual discussions/actions will be flagged and offenders will be banned from the site. Users and teachers are free to do almost anything on the site, as adults, but nothing of a sexual nature.
